Extending the functionality of Gestan

It is possible to extend the functionality of Gestan:

• manage additional data via the native supplementary fields in Gestan
• manage specific additional data, for example a motor’s hour meter or a measurement’s index. This data can be displayed in a dedicated tab for contacts, products or machines.
• add business-specific features, for example, a tool to calculate the excise duty due based on the number of litres of pure alcohol sold
• replace existing reports with others, for example, to have your own service order form or invoice.

Gestan allows you to manage 25 freely configurable additional fields for the application’s main files:

• 5 text fields
• 5 numeric fields
• 5 date fields
• 5 Boolean fields
• 5 drop-down lists

This allows you, for example, to:

• manage your contacts’ favourite car make, or their wedding date and contract type, via the additional contact data;
• manage the carbon content of your steel products via the additional product data;
• manage the number of gears on your hire bikes via the additional equipment data;
• etc.

These business-specific extensions can be developed by ICS-Informatique, as well as by any <ignore></ignore>développeur</ignore><ignore> partner.

They may be free of charge or subject to a user licence.
