Replacement reports and windows

Certain reports and screens in Gestan can be replaced by specific reports and screens, developed to meet your business needs or communication requirements.

Furthermore, if you manage specific data, Gestan can display an additional tab to manage this data.

These elements can be developed specifically by ICS, by any other company, or by yourself if you have development skills (see "Partenariat").

== == Activation

To use the custom reports, you must first install and activate the extension ETATSPE_ICS must first be installed and activated.

===== Using the =====screen

Access : Tools → Application Settings → Reports and Replacement Windows.

The ‘Include replacement windows’ allows you to enable or disable specific reports without having to re-enter all the settings.

The following can be customised:

• “customer document” reports: quotations, purchase orders, invoices, credit notes, delivery notes;
• supplier invoices, requests for quotation, purchase orders, goods receipt notes;
• service order records.

In the example above:

• the standard invoice ‘ Gestan ’ will be replaced by the report ‘Etat_FAC1_SPECIAL’ (developed specifically for this purpose).
• the standard service order will be replaced by the report Etat_INT1_2TECH (developed specifically for this purpose).

For specific ‘document’-type reports (quotations, invoices, purchase orders, etc.), you must specify “<spécifique>“ in the header type, either in the general settings or in the document-specific settings, and the specific report will then be generated.

Please note that not all options available in the standard documents Gestan are necessarily available in all customised templates!

The report name must begin with the character “#”, for compatibility with previous versions of Gestan, where it was possible to run wde files directly.

If the layout of the contacts list or the service call list does not suit your business, it is possible to replace them with any other programme specifically tailored to your needs.

It is possible to add additional tabs to certain record screens to manage extra data; currently, this applies to contacts, products and machines.

For example, in the example above, the machine record will display the Special FI_Z26_COMPTER (this name is specific to each extension), which allows you to manage additional data for machines.
