Third-party balance

This screen displays the third-party balance for customer and supplier documents.

Access: via the context menu of the contacts table, as well as from the context menu of the customer documents table and the supplier documents table, and from the shortcuts table.

The screen displays the documents linked to the customer within the date range specified by the limits from / to.

In the example above, we can see that we have issued two invoices and one credit note for the customer. The customer owes the company a balance of 203.14.

Description is the document code (FCT=customer invoice, AVR=customer credit note, FFR=supplier invoice, AVF=supplier credit note), followed by the document’s unique identifier, then its type. In the case of a journal entry, it is the code ECR, followed by the unique identifier of the journal entry, followed by the description of the journal entry.

Date is the date of the document or that of the journal entry.

St is the document status. Displayed in green if the document is settled, and in red if not.

Paid is the total of the journal entries linked to the document in question.

Balance is the difference between the document’s total amount and the amount paid.

Includes pending allows you to also display documents with the status ‘Pending’ (these are draft documents).

Exclude settled allows you to hide settled documents, for the sake of a clearer display.

The Print button prints the corresponding report for all the lines displayed.

:TIP: When the balance is in deficit, the screen icon (the scales in the top left-hand corner) is red. :TIP: There is no reason why a customer cannot also be a supplier. In this case, the balance sheet shows both customer and supplier entries.
